Every plan is the same runtime. The first three run on our machines and differ in how many sandbox-hours you get and how many people can see them — move up when the hours run out, not when a feature is held back. Enterprise is the same runtime on your own hardware, priced by contract.

About the price

Why is there no free tier?

A sandbox is real machine time on real hardware. A free tier would be paid for by the people on the paid ones, and it would push us to make the paid tiers worse so the free one looks bad by comparison. Dev is priced low enough that it should not be a decision.

What is a sandbox-hour?

One sandbox, existing for one hour, on our infrastructure. A sandbox that is paused is not running and is not counted.

What happens if I go over the included hours?

You keep working and the extra hours are billed at the rate on your plan. We do not stop a run halfway through to sell you an upgrade.

Can I change plan later?

Yes, at any time, and nothing about your sandboxes changes when you do. The plans differ in hours and sharing, never in what the runtime can do.
